Acxiom Corporation is currently seeking a recent graduate for Jr. Account Manager opportunities in Central Arkansas. As a Jr. Account Manager, you will be trained to become the primary sales contact for decision-making executives for one or more accounts, depending upon industry and product assignment. As part of your training, you will be introduced to many of the sales and sales-related functions at Acxiom. You will investigate and gather information to assist in new sales opportunities and provide input to future technology products’ features and functions. Using your strong communication and collaborative skills, you will serve as a liaison between clients and Acxiom service delivery teams. You will also assist in preparing contract inquiries and proposals and other business literature sent to prospects. Working with Acxiom’s Marketing Department, you will be involved with the creation of marketing literature covering directly supported products and services. In your first year, you will complete the sales training classes and web training that is required of all of Acxiom’s sellers and sales leaders.
How do we position you for success?
You will have the opportunity to shadow others in the sales community and attend sales-related classes to learn how to sell and make targeted customer presentations. At Acxiom, selling is a profession. This position is a salaried position, with the eventual opportunity for sales commission earnings.
Skills required for this opportunity include:
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Experience teaming and collaborating with others
-Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
-Excellent organizational skills
-Strong attention to detail
Other skills that would be nice to have for this opportunity include:
-Experience working in a retail/sales environment
-Track record of meeting and exceeding sales or other quotas
-Experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships in person or over the phone
Travel:
A willingess to travel and relocate is required.
Preferred Education Criteria:
Bachelor or Masters students pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, MIS or related degree. GPA: 2.75
