Since 1910, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has helped build future leaders of this country through educational and outdoor adventure activities combined with lifelong values and fun. While the major focus has been the development of young men, the BSA also offers coeducational programs, such as Venturing, that benefit both young women and young men. The Boy Scouts of America demonstrates a strong commitment to communities and families through established participation.

Learning for Life supports schools and other youth serving organizations in their efforts toward preparing youth to handle the complexities of today’s society successfully and to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-worth. The Learning for Life program helps youth develop social and life skills, enhances their career awareness, assists in character development, and helps them formulate positive personal values. It prepares and supports young people in making ethical decisions that will help them achieve their full potential.

District Executive
In Boy Scouts of America, the district executive is responsible for the overall growth, extension, quality, program enhancement, and supervision of the Scouting program with a specified geographical area. The person in this position achieves these goals through the identification, cultivation, recruiting, and guidance of corps of adult volunteers whose purpose is to support, train, and motivate adult volunteer leaders who deliver the Scouting program. Public relations and fundraising administration are vital additional functions. As a district executive, you will serve as an executive manager of a geographic territory within the local council that is designated as a district.

Executive Manager
Within the Learning for Life Organization, as an executive manager, you will identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire educators, community and business leaders, and volunteers to become involved in Learning for Life. You are responsible for the overall growth, extension, quality, program enhancement, and supervision of the Learning for Life program within a specified geographical area. You will oversee corps of adult volunteers who in turn support, train, and motivate the adult volunteer leaders delivering the Learning for Life program.
